Risk Management Rules
Drawdown
Each challenge has a drawdown amount, expressed as %. The drawdown refers to the maximum amount of funds that a trader may lose at a given time. If a trader’s equity falls below this amount at any point, their account will be automatically breached.
For example, the Standard ZAR Evaluation has a drawdown of 12%. This means that your trading account’s equity and balance may never fall below your starting balance (100,000) – 12% (12,000). It also has a daily drawdown of 5%, meaning that your trading account’s equity may never fall below (start of day equity) – 5%.
Traders will be able to track these calculated values at any time from the Prop Dashboard.
There are two drawdown types: Daily Drawdown and Overall Drawdown
Daily Drawdown
The daily drawdown is recalculated on equity every day at midnight server time (UTC+0). It is completely based on equity.
Overall Drawdown
The overall drawdown is never recalculated and is based on the starting capital of your challenge.
03
Active Days and Trading Days
Active Days and Trading Days are both tracked metrics of your trading account which are used to upgrade your challenge phases and perform payouts. Each account has a minimum requirement of these two metrics. Both of these metrics are refreshed at midnight server time (UTC+0)
Both of these figures can be tracked, and the traders’ progress can be viewed towards these targets from the Prop Dashboard.
Active Days
Active Days are the number of days that have passed since your first trade.
Trading Days
Trading Days are the number of unique days which you have placed a trade on. For example, if you have placed 2 trades on Monday and 1 on Tuesday, that will result in 2 Trading Days.
04
Profit Targets
Traders are required to hit profit targets in order to progress through challenge phases and request payouts. Profit targets are often expressed as percentage values, which is calculated as % of the account size.
For example, the Standard ZAR Evaluation has a profit target of 8% on phase 1. This means that traders will have to reach a balance of 100,000 + 8% (8,000) before they can upgrade to the next phase.
Traders will be able to track this value and their progress from the Prop Dashboard.
